The Naked Truth - Whole Body Airport Scans
A revealing article by New York Times writer Joe Sharkey (April 6, 2009):
In a shift, the Transportation Security Administration plans to replace the walk-through metal detectors at airport checkpoints with whole-body imaging machines — the kind that provide an image of the naked body. Initially, the machines were supposed to be used only on passengers who set off the metal detectors, to provide them with an option to the customary secondary physical pat-downs and inspections by electronic wand.
Mediation
Having a Hard Time Financially?
Mediation offers creatives ways to solve your financial problems. In today's tough economic times when legal remedies are often lacking, supervised mediation may be the best solution.
When money is tight, the resulting stress creates personal and business conflicts. When these conflicts arise, people turn to legal solutions and lawsuits. Litigation is expensive and adds even more to the financial stress.
Mediation is often overlooked as an option to litigation. For whatever reason (lack of understanding, anger, not knowing how to proceed), mediation is not considered first. I am asking you that you consider this option and contact me about it.
Wills
Write Your Will
INVENTORY YOUR ESTATE: Organize your assets and liabilities into a file (if you do not have a form, contact me and I will e-mail one to you for free). Include all real property, tangible and intangible personal property, contracts, insurance, pension plans, bank accounts and cash. This will give you an idea of the size of your estate and allow you to make informed decisions about the distribution of your property.
My Travels
Lafayette Louisiana April 2009
Lafayette is about a 2 hour drive southwest of New Orleans; a one hour drive from either the Baton Rouge or Alexandria airports; or, if you prefer, it is served by its own regional airport. It is in the heart of Cajun country and the city is as full of life as the residents who live there.
The flight from Atlanta on ASA takes a little over an hour. Normally, the route takes you south of Birmingham AL, over MS, Rouge LA where the descent begins and flies over the beautiful Atchafalaya basin and into Lafayette.
